AQI Preferred Vendor Status and AQI Member Hospitals and Practices
The centerpiece of participation in the AQI is the ongoing contribution of case-specific data to the National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry. We have created a program to recognize the anesthesia practices, hospitals and information technology vendors who have succeeded in this effort. These groups will be granted the license to use the AQI logo in their advertising and promotional materials, in accordance with the following policies:
An 'AQI Preferred Vendor' is a healthcare information technology company with a product that is actively meeting AQI requirements for data transfer. These criteria, which are expected to change on an annual basis, include the depth of data submitted (meeting the 2010 AQI Minimal Data Set standards at the least), the breadth of data (all cases performed), the formatting (in accordance with the AQI-defined schema), and the timeliness (at least quarterly).
An 'AQI Member Hospital' is a healthcare facility or system that has committed to active cooperation with the AQI, and demonstrated that commitment by active, ongoing contribution of clinical case data to NACOR, in accordance with the criteria above.
An 'AQI Member Practice' is a business group of anesthesiologists that have committed to active cooperation with the AQI, and demonstrated that commitment by completion of the AQI Practice Demographic Survey and active, ongoing contribution of clinical case data to NACOR, in accordance with the criteria above.
