Final Quality Reporting deadline February 15
The final data submission deadline to NACOR is February 15, 2023. December 2022 data and any corrected files for dates prior to December are due at this time.
After February 15, AQI will begin aggregating the data files for submission to CMS in mid-March.
Review your NACOR dashboard
Remember to review your 2022 quality reports in the NACOR dashboard to ensure compliance with 2022 MIPS reporting data completeness requirements:
- Report a minimum of six measures with at least one outcome or high priority measure
- Measures must meet the 20-case minimum to be scored
- Measure Reporting Rate must be at least 70% of all eligible cases across all payers for each measure reported

Quality data processing on hold
Any data files submitted to the FTP for processing after the February 15, 2023, deadline will not be included in NACOR's 2022 CMS data submission. Data processing is on hold while AQI reviews data integrity and auditing per CMS regulations for a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) and Qualified Registry (QR).
FTP processing will resume in early April. If you submit a file to the FTP during this interim period, the file will be processed as usual when the hold is lifted.

2022 Quality Payment Program Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exception
Practices that have been approved by CMS for an Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exception and are registered to submit Quality Data to CMS through NACOR must notify AQI no later than Friday, March 3, 2023.
To notify AQI of your practice's exemption status, submit a ticket by emailing nacorsupport@asahq.org. If you have already notified AQI via askaqi@asahq.org or a help desk ticket no further action is needed.
If AQI does not receive notification through a support ticket, AQI will follow customary procedures for sending your practice's data to CMS. If CMS receives data from a group or individual that has a hardship exemption, CMS will score the data submitted.
2023 MIPS Value Pathway (MVP) Registration
For 2023, AQI/NACOR participants can report MIPS in the following ways: traditional MIPS submission, MIPS Value Pathway (MVP) or both traditional MIPS and MVP. AQI will be supporting the Patient Safety and Support of Positive Experiences with Anesthesia (MVP ID: G0059).
To participate in the MVP a practice must register with CMS. CMS describes how to prepare for MVP registration on the QPP website. MVP registration will open on April 3 and close on November 30.
