Changes in 2020 MIPS reporting
The following changes to MIPS quality reporting are effective in 2020:
- For the Quality component, which remains weighted at 45% of the total MIPS score, Eligible Clinicians should report on six measures for the 12-month performance period (1/1/20 - 12/31/20). The six quality measures must include at least one outcome measure or another high priority measure in the absence of an applicable outcome measure. Reporting rates for each measure should be greater than or equal to 70%, up from 60% in 2019.
- The Cost Component and the Improvement Activity components will remain weighted at 15% of the total MIPS score.
- The minimum threshold for 2020 is 45 points to avoid a penalty adjustment, up from 30 points in 2019.
- The payment adjustment for 2020 is ±9%, a 2% increase from 2019.

NACOR dashboard unlocked April 6
AQI will unlock the NACOR dashboard on Monday, April 6. At this time, practices will be able to edit their practice and provider lists. Providers who have retired or left a practice prior to January 1, 2020 should have their status set to "removed" on the provider list. Setting providers to "remove" will not impact historical data. Register for 2020 NACOR reporting
Quality reporting practices can now begin the enrollment process for Anesthesia Quality Institute's (AQI) 2020 NACOR Quality Reporting by completing the new online order form. NACOR is a designated QR and QCDR for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Quality Payment Program.
AQI's NACOR quality reporting options include the following offerings in 2020 to ensure that NACOR remains the leader in anesthesiology: Quality Concierge, NACOR Quality Reporting, NACOR Benchmarking and NACOR Basic. All practices re-enrolling in NACOR Quality Reporting, Benchmarking or Basic should complete a new order form for 2020. Practices enrolled in Quality Concierge are not required to complete the form.
