2019 quality reporting reconciliations due March 31
AQI is in the process of completing the quality reporting reconciliation process in which the practice's order, with the number and type of Eligible Clinicians (ECs) (i.e. physician or CRNA), is compared to the information submitted to NACOR in the practice's data file. For each data file submitted, AQI confirms the membership status of each EC to determine if they are eligible to receive the ASA member benefit rate for NACOR Quality Reporting. Payments must be received by March 31 or the practice's data may not be submitted to CMS.

Register for 2020 NACOR reporting
Quality reporting practices can now begin the enrollment process for Anesthesia Quality Institute's (AQI) 2020 NACOR Quality Reporting by completing the new online order form. NACOR is a designated QR and QCDR for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Quality Payment Program.
AQI's NACOR quality reporting options include the following offerings in 2020 to ensure that NACOR remains the leader in anesthesiology: Quality Concierge, NACOR Quality Reporting, NACOR Benchmarking and NACOR Basic. All practices re-enrolling in NACOR Quality Reporting, Benchmarking or Basic should complete a new order form for 2020. Practices enrolled in Quality Concierge are not required to complete the form.
2020 MIPS eligibility
Practices can check provider eligibility for 2020 MIPS quality reporting on the Quality Payment Program (QPP) website by using the QPP lookup tool. The QPP updates eligibility data at multiple times throughout the year to help practices plan program participation. Updates are based on past and current Medicare Part B Claims and PECOS data. There are two determination periods for 2020 reporting. Initial eligibility was determined in December 2019 and final eligibility will be determined in November 2020.
2020 NACOR XML schema changes effective April 6
AQI released two updates to the 2020 NACOR XML schema: Copyright and XML Version number. The 2020 AQI XML Version number will change, as follows:
- 2019V1.0 → 2020V1.0
- 2019V1.0R → 2020V1.0R

NACOR dashboard locked down
AQI has locked the provider list tool in the NACOR dashboard. Clinicians are unable to make any changes to the provider list. The provider lists will be unlocked on Monday, April 6, for 2020 MIPS reporting. For more information, email askaqi@asahq.org.
