2021 MIPS data submitted
The Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI) has completed the submission of 2021 MIPS Quality and Improvement Activity data for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Preliminary scores are now available in the Quality Payment Program (QPP) portal but are subject to change. Final MIPS scores will be available in July. AQI will not have access to the final MIPS scores. Eligible clinicians and group practices will need a QPP Account with CMS to view final results. View the CMS video on how to create a QPP account.
Register for 2022 NACOR reporting
Practices can now begin the enrollment process for the Anesthesia Quality Institute's (AQI) 2022 NACOR Reporting by completing the 2022 online order form. NACOR is a designated QR and QCDR for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' Quality Payment Program. Practices who can only report MIPS measures should register for the Qualified Registry. Practices participating with AQI's Quality Concierge do not need to register.
AQI's NACOR reporting options include the following offerings in 2022 to ensure that NACOR remains the leader in anesthesiology: Quality Concierge, NACOR Quality Reporting, NACOR Benchmarking and NACOR Basic.

2022 NACOR XML schema changes effective April 4
AQI released updates to the 2022 NACOR XML schema. The changes are as follows:
- Updated "Copyright (C) 2021" to "Copyright (C) 2022"
- Removed AQIXMLVersionType enumeration "2021V1.0" added AQIXMLVersionType enumeration "2022V1.0"
- Removed AQIXMLVersionType enumeration "2021V1.0R" added AQIXMLVersionType enumeration "2022V1.0R"
- Modified Elements: ProcedureName, ProcedureDescription. Changed ProcedureName and ProcedureDescription minOccurs="0" to minOccurs="1"
- Added enumeration for the QCDRMeasureType to allow reporting the QCDR Measure ABG41 and ABG42: Added <xs:pattern value="ABG[0-9][0-9]" />

NACOR dashboard unlocks on April 8
AQI unlocks the NACOR dashboard on April 8, 2022, allowing practices to edit their practice and provider lists. Providers who have retired or left a practice prior to January 1, 2022, should have their status set to "removed" on the provider list. Setting providers to "remove" will not impact historical data.

2022 MIPS measures IDs
CMS has changed the measure IDs from MIPS to QID (e.g., reporting MIPS 424 in 2021, CMS now refers to the measure as QID 424). For 2022 data submissions to AQI, the data file format requires the use of “MIPS” as part of the measure IDs. Please continue to submit the 2022 QID’s as MIPS IDs.
